The 1996 BMW R1100RS is an iconic sport-touring motorcycle known for its comfortable ergonomics, advanced technology, and distinctive air-cooled, 1,085cc "Oilhead" boxer-twin engine. It laid the groundwork for modern sport-tourers by standardizing features like fuel injection and ABS. The R1100RS was incredibly ahead of its time, featuring Bosch electronic fuel injection and an anti-lock braking system (ABS). It also features a distinctive half-to-full fairing design for wind protection, as well as BMW's unique Telelever front suspension, which virtually eliminates front-end dive under heavy braking. This is a two owner RS, both in the same family. Comes with all of the service records and tone of extras. Last service was at 36,090 and included engine oil/filter, transmission oil, final drive oil, brake fluid, new spark plugs, valve adjustment, air filter, and two new tires. Work was performed at MOTOHIO European Motorbikes in Columbus OH. The original owner added lots of cool extras. Has a cover, seat back, saddle bag liners, extra sport windscreen, and two sets of keys.
